5 Easy Pieces: How to Wear Camo (without looking like an Army reject!)

Written by Sally

This is a staple in my wardrobe and is often overlooked by people. Brings down the dressiness of a piece and adds a great juxtaposition. This is a classic shape and muted tones – so versatile.

10 Camo Style tips

  1. Camouflage is quite a masculine print so keep that in mind
  2. It works really well in a sports luxe way.
  3. Lady it up with feminine accents (floral, sparkles, lace, bold jewellry, pointed flats).
  4. Dress down a long maxi dress.
  5. Looks unreal with leather trousers or midi skirts.
  6. Clash with leopard or breton stripes.
  7. Belt it over a summer dress or pencil skirt.
  8. Don’t be afraid to add a pop of bright pink or red or pastels.
  9. Looks awesome with chunky neutral knits

I love everything Bella Freud does – this thin knit sweater is on sale from Matches Fashion along with some amazing other knits and cool collaborations by designers like Henry Holland, Christopher Kane with Poppy Develevinge – see here  It is an investment that you will be complimented on and will thank me for for many years.

Style Tip: Looks great with jeans, leather, midi and pleated skirts and under dungarees.  Add a cool skinny necktie scarf or bib collar to just finish things off at neckline.

I love a slouchy pant and these 100% Seed ones are amazing  – their blue denim ones are a favourite of clients of mine and actually a lovely client flagged the grey version to me. Thanks V xx relaxed and roomy like a dropcrotch or droppies as they are called without being too baggy and unflattering.

Style Tip: Add strong heels for a different look with these. so cool.

Kurt Geiger is a great designer shoe brand – good quality and high tops are a brilliant runaround option to boots to wear with jeans and pants because of their higher rise. These gold sequin ones are a bit of fun and with 50% off  a lot of cool trainers at Asos this week there are tons of other options. Check them out here

Style Tip: play around with wearing them with maxi dresses for a different look. Sequins and camo look great together – that play with utility and sparkle.
