Just 5 weeks ago I started this style inspo community highlighting style, creativity and individuality on the real streets of the world – cool wonderful style is not something that only happens for 20 year old fashion bloggers in London, Paris, NY and Milan.
In fact, so many people on IG blend into one derivative version of the same look over and over again that it is often hard to find individuality.
We are nearing 1000 posts and every day someone new joins in internationally from Seattle to Sydney and everywhere in between.
Every week I choose 5 of my favourite #realstreetstyle icons who are expressing themselves and living out a few of my 2016 Personal Styling client mantras of which Individuality is always on trend is one and this week’s style stars all had outfits that worked because they were so in tune with their individuality.
Individuality is Always on Trend – means you don’t need to be buying new things to have style – you may have made it yourself, found it in an opshop, had the piece for decades and are reworking it or making a trend fit in with your own particular style #individualityisalwaysontrend
Here is what I am loving from the #SpotMyStyle real streetstyle community this week.

Real StreetStyle Roundup – Creative Cool
1. Vintage to the Max
A massive welcome to Ruby new member of the style inspo community @Suns_shadow and what a show-stopping outfit. Love the printed vintage thrifted maxi styled with great statement jewellry and mustard hat. The whole look is a wonderfully modern with a strong 70s vibe – Love it so much.
Every piece has a story that you want to know more about.
Want to try out this look – here are some 70s maxi skirts on Easy .
*Style Tip – To really make the print sing and avoid it looking Mullumbimby – the key is to choose a bold print. The strength in Ruby’s styling is the choice of simple black long sleeve, bold statement necklace that brings out another colour from the print as well as the contrast band hat. Then you contrast this with a strong modern sharp bob and the bold lip. You could also add a sleeveless maxi vest in suede or contrast texture for cooler climes.
2. Bombshell Pretty Woman
Jasmine Hunt aka @prettychuffed has a strong IG following and no wonder. A great Mama of 2 this daily style & baby style blogger has consistently posted through pregnancy and post baby no2 on casual wear under $100, that appeal to so many women. Check out her – one item 3 ways – on her here to see how else she styles this bomber jacket but I particularly loved her styling with the red dress and heels for date night. Not only does Jasmine look so good in red but the bomber jacket gives it an easy casual vibe – perfect for date night. The ladylike bow block heels add another point of interest and finish off the whole … Pretty Woman eat your heart out vibe ! Check out inexpensive embroidered bombers like the one above on Boohoo and on Shein .
*Style Tip – For more outfit ideas and ways to style Bomber Jackets – in fact over 24 – and my Top 3 options to buy check out my blogpost here .
3. Blue Hue Layering
Love how Robyna has winterised this chambray dress with a long sleeve – leggings and a great blue print scarf belted at the waist.
Robyna is an incredibly talented and creative woman who makes so many of her clothes, accessories and general crafty gorgeousness – she is also a talented writer among many other things. I love her inventive ways of using what she has – whether it is an earring as a brooch or upcycling her clothes. Such a sustainable style legend. Love her.
* Style Tip – Adding a turtleneck or long sleeve under a summer dress and some tights is a great way to get more wear all year round. Add in a leather jacket and off you go. Need some more ideas on how to belt a scarf – check out this 7 Slick Ways to Style a Scarf post from last year.
4. Bell Sleeved Belle
Love Lisa’s philosophy – as a style writer and TV regular in Seattle Washington – “Be beautiful, be stylish, be you. No matter how many candles are on your birthday cake” – Check out how she wears dungarees like a boss on her blog her – and if you need more dungarees, overall help click and read my post here .
But I couldn’t go past her incredible outfit with the Ellery-esque bell sleeves.

Buy her jacquard JCrew skirt here
* Style Tip – Lisa shows how easy it is to embrace a fashion forward sleeve style with a classic skirt and still make it work. A great play with texture, shape and monochrome palette that is so flattering and a real standout. Love it all.
5. Black is the new Black
@stylishmurmurs loves black – and no wonder because she kills it. I particularly love this outfit as Deborah was trying out something new – an on trend neck tie.Loving this comfy pocketed black dress worn as a tunic with ankle boots. A strong individual statement worn with or without the belt.
Buy the Motto fashions Jersey Joey dress Deborah is wearing here .
