When a new collection launch invite from Brisbane born Australian label White Label Noba pops into your mailbox you know it is going to not only be a fun night but you will be transported.
The historic Old Museum was transformed into a Spanish castle courtyard garden with tapas-inspired canapés before we took our FROW seats in the balcony under the swaying bunting.
From the moment the male flamenco dancer took to the runway in a lace and maxi ruffle skirt it was clear this was going to be a spectacular collection.
With millinery by the incredible Martina McGrath and styled by Kimberley Gardner, the gasps and awe from the crowd came thick and fast as every model sashayed past.
WLN is known for several things – model diversity in terms of age, shape and size and I adore this .
Wearability and fantasy – Tracey Watkins has the enviable ability to create a collection that is at once frivolous and fun – daring and delightful but one that all shapes and sizes can feel connected to. One of my favourite things is spotting women out and about in wearing her pieces – they are unmistakably joyful and bold .
She loves in ruffles, sequins, colour and print but Tracey creates silhouettes that can easily work in the day to day run around errands.
This collection was like a snapshot of my dream wardrobe – I would be happy to wear WLN 18/19 for dropoffs, work, play, weekend and dancing in my kitchen to some Gypsy Kings !
Olé and andale andale !
